A short list of things that often go too long without being taken care of: lawn maintenance, taking out the trash, oil changes. Although we can’t help with the first two, we can certainly help with the last one. Not only that, but we can (and will) also provide the necessary information you need to understand the type of oil your car needs and why we recommend it. All cars need different oil. This can change even more depending on the type of driving you do. There are three kinds of oils to choose from: Conventional, semi-synthetic and full synthetic. Let’s break down each.
Conventional oil is one of the most common types of oil, a fan favorite. It is the most cost-friendly, universally known and can be used on nearly every car without damage.
Who should use conventional oil?
Later model cars with not too many miles on them and a simple engine. Conventional oil is made with difference chemical additives to be able to suit the common vehicle engine.
Also known as synthetic blend - is the middleman between conventional and full synthetic oil. The additives used in this oil provide additional resistance to oxidation. Semi-synthetic oil makes it easy to switch back and forth from conventional to full. Much like a dog, you don’t want to drastically change the oil(food) you feed your car and run the risk of hurting it (their stomach).
Who should use Semi-Synthetic Oil?
Like we said, those who often switch between convention and full synthetic. It is also great for those who may not want to pay extra for full synthetic, but also have the added protection. Semi-synthetic allows you to have your cake and eat most of it, too.
Need your vehicle to be at peak performance all the time? We have the oil for you. Full synthetic oil provides the highest viscosity level, best resistance to oxidation and even helps to fight oil sludge from building up and hindering performance.
Who should use Full Synthetic Oil?
Those whose cars demand high level performance 24/7 and those who have higher mileage or older engines and need that bit of extra help.
